The frame measures 31cm X 25.5cm.
The displayed landmine shrapnel remains, of a mortar bomb boosted landmine, was collected after a mine proofed RL vehicle, carrying Rhodesia Regiment troops, detonated a landmine near Bikita on 23 October 1976, killing one and wounding one person - one of the troopers who was in the affected vehicle, returned quickly to the scene and collected the shrapnel which is displayed in the frame. This display is very rare, as it was usual for BSAP Special Branch to collect all shrapnel remains at a landmine incident, in order to work out the landmine type and origin. The name of the trooper who collected the shrapnel, and who has recounted the story, will be given to the winner, if requested.
