Some were born there, many 3rd, 4th and 5th generation and some adopted. All were part of an extraordinary determined, innovative yet carefree tribe, who helped build and experience a unique, magnificent, heart-warming country and people.

The book is filled with personal and authentic anecdotes, stories, conversations and events that emanate from a country in the midst of a raging war. Touching recollections indeed.

Tough times demanded (and created) tough people which is what those living in Rhodesia showed from our service members to our farmers and business folks and government workers and our local staff everywhere, men and women alike -a special and unique breed also proud to have been a part of this extraordinary little country which always punched above its weight in every endeavour thank you all.
