RICH RED NATURAL RUBY AND STERLING SILVER RING

This eye-catching piece is a combination of sterling silver with 24 natural deep pink rubies with a single round cut 'Royal' (very dark purple) amethyst. Totalling 1,28 carats, the rubies are a combination of pear, round and oval cut, all claw set in two circles; the outer ring contains 16 rubies and the inner ring - 8. These surround a single claw set clear 0,14 carat amethyst, making a domed head. The rubies are very included and are more 'natural'. The beautiful deep amethyst is well faceted with excellent clarity. A very strong sterling silver shank holds the cage that supports the cage structure holding the rubies. The stones are all jeweller authenticated real, and the genuine sterling silver is hallmarked '925'. The ring looks new, but is actually about 20 years old. A heavy piece at 8,58 grams, it is bold and showy on the hand.
