This is an excellent investment painting and his work has gone from as little as R 500 to in excess of R 100 000 in a few years.  Richard's work hangs in collections in South Africa, England, Holland, USA, Switzerland, Australia, Ireland, Germany and Italy to name a few. The Strand Tower Hotel in Cape Town chose him in conjunction with Paul du Toit to furnish the hotel with artwork.  Currently his work is on sale through different galaries, (an example is Hout Bay Gallery where a similar size is on sale for R 40 000) and auction houses - Stefan Welz and Company.  His prints are now selling for R 10 000 and original paintings up to R 150 000.  

This painting was part of a series of 8 paintings called "The West Coast Series" and was painted for his friend who is the 3rd biggest collector of his works with more than 60 paintings.  There are no other series' of the West Coast as this was a specific request from him.  Unfortunately his friend had to move to New York and sold this set to me before leaving as he already has in excess of 40 paintings and am not able to take it all.  This is the last one of the set as the others have all been sold.
