The Rio Crystal Renew microdermabrasion kit is an advanced microdermabrasion system, using vacuum technology to deliver an effective steady stream of natural crystals directly onto your skin. The flow of crystals lift and remove dead skin cells, as shown in the diagram on the right. The spent crystals and dead skin cells are then deposited into the filter collection canister. Subdermal circulation is also increased to accelerate and promote the natural rejuvenation of skin cells.

The treatment

Before you begin, watch the step-by-step DVD and study the user guide provided. It is essential to do a patch test 24 hours before you begin your treatment. Choose a small inconspicuous area on the neck and treat on low power. If your skin doesn’t react then it is safe to carry on.

Crystal Renew can be used on dry, oily and combination skin types by both men and women and also works on light, medium and dark skin tones. It is designed for anyone who wants to visibly reduce the appearance of brown spots, pore size and achieve a more even skin tone. It should not be used with skin conditions which include acne, rosacea, eczema, over moles or growths, or any other skin ailment and should not be used by children. It is recommended that you consult a doctor if you are unsure.

A full facial will take about 10 minutes. To begin with clean the area to be treated, rinse off and pat dry. Turn the unit on and select the power level you feel most comfortable with. Place the wand on your skin to activate the vacuum, which brings the crystals through the wand.
