Can I treat more than one hair at a time? No. The Laser Hair Removal System is designed for individual hair treatment. If you have a look at my other listings, you will see I also sell the Rio Scanning Laser Hair Remover which treats up to 20 hairs as well as an individual hair and the Rio Scanning Laser Hair Remover x60 which treats up to 60 hairs as well as the options of 20 hairs and the single hair.
Can anyone use it? It is not suitable for people with Afro-Carribean or black skin complexions.
What areas can I treat? The most common areas are the face, underarms, legs, chest, back and bikini line, it may also be used on the breast area, but not on or directly around the nipple.
Tattoos and areas with permanent make-up must be avoided as well.
How long should I treat each hair? Avoid excessive treatment on the same region at a time. This may cause reddening and swelling. We suggest treating each hair once in each session.
How many treatments are necessary? Everyone varies, but you should take into account the area you are treating, hair density, your hair's growth cycle and colour. Dark hair on fair skin responds to laser therapy best, but both dark and fair hair may take 5 treatments for long-term results. Some individuals may require more and some fewer treatments to achieve satisfaction.
How will my skin appear after the treatment? Generally no perceptible changes will be apparent. Rarely, mild redness may occur. This will fade quickly within 24 hours. Hairs will generally be shed over 1 - 2 weeks.
Will I experience any side effects?Slight reddening and some swelling may occur. These effects may last for 24 hours.
Can I use it on sensitive skin? The laser reacts with the hair, so the surrounding skin will be fine.
What does it feel like? You may feel a tingling or stinging sensation during the treatment. Most will describe the sensation as a "snap" or mild stinging that lasts for less than a second.
How long should I leave between treatments? As long as the area is not sore or red it is fine to repeat treatment after 24 hours. If there is any soreness or reddening of the area do not repeat treatment until this subsides.
