The prototype of this loco, No. 844 (temporarily No. 8444 while there was a diesel No. 844) is kept by the Union Pacific Railroad in Cheyenne, Wyoming, in working order, and is utilised by Union Pacific on company specials.

This analog model is in very good condition in it's original box and has been tested. The tender comes with a Kadee coupler.
