RIVAROSSI: UNION PACIFIC Steam Locomotive 4-8-8-4  Big Boy (HO)

Loco and tender in good overall condition and runs well with working front headlight. No original box. Tender lightly weathered. This is one of the early Rivarossi 'Big Boys' probably dating back a number of decades. Very nice loco!

This model is the all black 4005, the prototype was put in service in  October 1941 and retired  from active service in July 1962. The model has a high powered motor which works on a double cardanic transmission, which in turn activates two separate groups of wheel units.

Even though a big model, it can work on minimum radius corners 400 mm. Overall length of loco and tender approx. 475mm.
