| DESCRIPTION | A very striking, large and beautiful original artwork by the inimitable United States artist ROBERT COX (1934 - 2001). Painted in oil in his typical Neo - Victorian style with flat background and embossed foreground of the roses, applied quite thickly by pallette knife which makes them stand out three - dimensionally. It is said that a blind person can tell which flowers appear on a Robert Cox paintings by just touching them. The painting depicts a Victorian vase with pink / white roses and it is very large. The whole painting with frame measures 72 x 102 cm and the artwork alone measures 60 x 90 cm. The painting is still framed in it's original 1970 / 80s frame. The artist has signed it in the bottom right corner and has not dated it - but it clearly dates fron the 1970 - 80s which was the period in which this amazingly prolific artist produced most of his artworks.
