Robert Cox Original Oils, Framed  - CRAZY R1 N/R!!!!!!

Offered here are these remarkabe original Still Life oil paintings, each of a vase of roses by well known international artist Robert Cox (1934 - 2001).  Known for his work in still life, in particular floral stills, the artist does not disappoint in technique or choice of colours.  Vibrant pieces with thickly applied paint make for stunning works of art. The 2 paintings are both in excellent condition and they measure 34.5x15cm. They are framed in gilded frames, also in good condition though the one frame has a little damage on bottom left corner, (see pic below), but really nothing serious.

Cox was born in Mt Holly, New Jersey and studied at the Katharine Gibbs Schools of Art. Cox established a huge reputation in the United States for his almost neo-Victorian style and his early adoption of the pallet knife in creating stylized flowers.  He was awarded the Brown Hammerson Medal of Honour for services to art in 1986.

His work is represented in many American museums, galleries and private collections as well as having been frequently exported to Europe, Australia and has been auctioned at Christies, Bonhams and Cheffins.

These delightful pieces are absolutely beautiful, you will not be disappointed!!!
