DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTIONA lovely and decorative original oil painting by Robert Cox. The artwork is done on fine canvass over hardboard and is framed in a gilt frame. It is not dated but was probably painted in the 1960s or 1970s. It depicts a still life with roses in an antique vase. The artwork is in vertical format and of medium size. It measures 66 x 40 cm if the frame is included and 58 x 31 cm without the frame. The artist has signed it in the bottom right corner. Please have a look at the 6 images which follow, because they describe this lovely artwork better than I can.
CONDITIONThe artwork is still in good condition with no paint loss and the colours nice and bright. There is one small chip on the inner frame at top right which can be seen on the last image below.
NOTES
A really beautiful still life by Robert Cox who is renowned for his rose paintings.
