Robert Cox Original Oils, Framed  - CRAZY R1 N/R!!!!!!

Offered here is this remarkabe original Still Life oil painting of a vase of yellow and cream roses by well known international artist Robert Cox (1934 - 2001).  Known for his works in still life, in particular floral stills, the artist does not disappoint in technique or choice of colours.  Vibrant with thickly applied paint in places makes for a stunning work of art. The painting measures 29x24cm. It is framed in a wooden frame.  The painting in good condition but a little overzealous cleaning by a previous owner has removed a bit of the sheen off the painting at the base of vase area (see pic below), the photo is quite exagerated and this is not noticable unless one views close up and at the right angle.

Cox was born in Mt Holly, New Jersey and studied at the Katharine Gibbs Schools of Art. Cox established a huge reputation in the United States for his almost neo-Victorian style and his early adoption of the pallet knife in creating stylized flowers.  He was awarded the Brown Hammerson Medal of Honour for services to art in 1986.

His work is represented in many American museums, galleries and private collections as well as having been frequently exported to Europe, Australia and has been auctioned at Christies, Bonhams and Cheffins.

This delightful painting is absolutely beautiful, you will not be disappointed!!!
