DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION
DESCRIPTION	Original oil pastel sketch of A LOVELY YOUNG LADY drawn by S A listed artist ROBERT MELVIN SIMMERS. Signed at bottom right. Dating from the 1970s. On art paper and newly framed in a top quality Italian frame with a double mount. Also glass protected. Measures 40 x 40 cm & the artwork without frame 26 x 26 cm.
CONDITION	Both painting and frame are in excellent condition.

NOTES
Melvin Simmers was a very accomplished artist and art lecturer at the Michaelis School of Art (UCT) and a newspaper art critic. He was also a ballet dancer and had a great interest in the performing arts. His artworks have shown a steady (and recent dramatic) increase in value. This art work is beautifully executed and is AN EXCELLENT PIECE OF INVESTMENT ART.
