Robert Sorby Stebcenters are available as drive centers and now also as live centers.
Using the Robert Sorby live (revolving) Stebcenters gives increased security, with its superior grip on the workpiece, and also allows the turner to experiment with off-center or eccentric turning.

Robert Sorby Steb Centre
Fitted in the lathe head-stock with a ring of sharp teeth ensuring the stebcentre bites the wood to give more security and drive.
As there are several points of contact there is minimal risk of splitting.
With an overall length of approximately 4″, the stebcentre is available in 3 head sizes: 1/2, 7/8 and 1.1/4 inch and 3 Morse taper sizes 1MT, 2MT and 3MT.
