Robert W Henson Original (Dated 1956)

On offer this beautifully painted oil on board of a landscape by South African artist, Robert W Henson Oil, signed in the bottom right corner and dated '56, this painting done when the artist was a mere 16 yrs old! Anybody who has done their research will see that art by Henson sells for substantial prices when it does come onto the open market. It is a very large painting, measuring 94x70cm (with frame) and 75x51.5cm (painting only). In good condition apart from a little triangular spot in the left top corner where the paint has come off. The very ornate gilded frame a real beauty and in very good condition as well, apart from 2 very minor spots along the right hand side of the frame where the varnishing has come off and this can be rectified without too much fuss. As is common with these frames, there are a few shrinkage cracks along the edges of the frame but I can confirm that the frame is fully intact and there are no missing pieces.
