ROBERTS & BELK !! Vintage Silver Plated Oval Serving Tray/Dish with Handle

VINTAGE SILVER PLATED ROBERTS & BELK OVAL SERVING TRAY/DISH WITH HANDLE

An Oval shaped Serving Dish/Tray which has a circular handle attached to one side. The handle is designed to lean slightly over the Tray/Dish and with a Ball finial it tends to transform the item into one of Chic simplicity with Decorative appeal.  The item can be used to great visual advantage if utilized as a display but can serve equally satisfactorily when placed in a Table Setting for the serving of treats

The item is hallmarked underneath for ROBERTS & BELK as well as "5846 A"

On either side of the Dish/Tray to the left and right of the handle is a pair of small naturally made holes. I believe a separate pair of handles should be attached at these points.    The Dish/Tray is in PERFECT condition with NO rust, damages or breakages (only missing what I suspect were smaller handles)
