Robot Warlords is a strategy game developed by Dazz where factions within the army are attempting to overthrow the government while riding around in robots called Bullets. As one of the last loyalists, you must infiltrate their ranks in seven days and stop them from completing their goal. The action takes place in present day Tokyo.
Garage Mode: There's the standard outfitting of your team, with parts to pick from, weapons to equip, and skills to allocate to each character. Each item or part has a weight, which determines, along with the character's natural speed, how many motion points (MP) the character has each turn
Battle Mode: You play out series of missions where the narrative unfolds as each mission is carried out.
Free Mode: You can choose with which missions you want to do and which you don’t want to do.
Head to head mode is nice but can get boring if one of you knows the game better than the other.
You instruct your robots through a map (which is in 3D which is fully rotatable with the shoulder buttons) and then watch the orders been carried out in real time footage.
Your enemy AI in the game is pretty intelligent and you have to fire on them tactically.
Characters and maps in the game are quite realistic and detailed and many of locations in the game are graphical well designed to resemble Tokyo but at times, the Mech animation is jerky and limited although the explosions are good.
I can’t really much to say about the sound or the soundtrack in this game. If it’s there, it’s not that noticeable.
If you don’t like Tactical RP game, don’t bother with this game. Robot Warlords may prove to be too complex and too hard for the time and effort that you have to put in but on the bright side, you can play this game hours on end and you get your moneysworth out of it.
