This is it. Fact is, I get a lot of competition nowadays. I am glad to see some sellers on here upping their game to compete. Good show. I am not prepared to go into price battles. So what does one do? You look for special stuff, that no-one else has, you make bloody sure it is new, and also bloody sure that it is so sexy, that you, my dear customer, will lie awake tonight contemplating if you should take the plunge or not. Let us be honest, this is one such loco.....
Lol, and wait until you see it run. Then my friends, you will steal money for this thing. Trust me. This has to be my candidate for locomotive of the year.
Ok, so on to business. Look, I do not mind tender driven locomotives. I think ROCO and Fleischmann has the concept licked. BUT, they cannot reaaly pull the same weight a Marklin does.....UNLESS they put a cardan shaft to the locomotive and let it pull there too. I have one Roco like that, and it pulls very well. Big was my surprise when I took this out the box, and saw the cardan. I physically ran to the layout and let it have a run...... and it ended up being half an hour.
It is supremely smooth. So quiet that when the sound is off, you would think it is gliding a mm above the rail. I haven't got a loco this smooth in my collection. End of story. It is fitted with a Loksound decoder. Factory installed and runs on address 3. Now, the sound. There is a bell, a lovely flute and coal shoveling as well as all the others we are used to. BUT, it is the quality of the sound that got me. Pure, without distortion and without being intrusive and over amplified.
Ja well now fine. It is expensive, but you can buy very little at this level for that money. Let me rephrase that.... you can buy sweet buggerall at this level for R5500. The detail, the model, and if you want a class 36 with sound, get R8K ready for a Brawa, because they are the only other manufacturer making this. And let me be frank, I have seen the Brawa, and this..... this is on par if not better. I have a few Brawas, and nothing in my collection will beat this Roco for sheer smoothness. I ran it around a R1 radius and it tracked true and flat. Now go try that with a Brawa. I dare you.
I am offering terms. R2000 secures, and onto your tab it goes. Be quick, because I will want to run this thing again. Please, just take it, I want to keep it so badly it hurts.
On to the pics. Sorry, I couldn't stop. Hell it is pretty.
Postage will be R120 insured post, there is no other way. Or come fetch it in Benoni and we can run it.
