This classic has been in my possession since the mid-1940's although the experts say it appeared in the 1930's.
It is in good condition and still works, although after nearly 70 years the spring is obviously not what it used to be and Joe sometimes needs a little nudge to get down from his reared-up position. The paintwork is near perfect. A slight scuff on the back of his head where his stetson gets thrown back and the inside of the rear right wheel has a slight scuff from the wound-out spring. From what I have seen these are pretty standard.
I recently spotted one of these on the American on-line auction site going for 350 dollars.
