These are designed to screw into the peghead of your guitar and their function is to maintain the angle of the string at the nut. The tension stops the string from going out of tune too quickly and decreases the wear and tear on the string, resulting in a longer string life.
One string retainer holds down two strings. They are traditionally found on Tele's and Strat's but can be added to a variety of different guitars. Also known as String Trees or String Guides.
We advise using a .44 bit screw to create pilot holes before screwing the screws into your headstock.
*Note: Price is per individual String Retainer including the screw.
