Roman Legion on Libyan Fields, The Story of the Trappist Missionaries among the Zulus in Natal, South Africa, Marianhill and the Past and Present Condition and Prosperity of Their Mission by Sihlobosami ( A T Bryant)

An extremely scarce first edition hardcover published by St Thomas Aquinas Printing Establishment Trappist Abbey, Marianhill Natal, South Africa in 1887

Black cover boards with embossed artwork & cross on front & also on back, the spine appears to be rebound in black cloth with library nbr at bottom.

I purchased this from a Yonkers New York Monastry some years ago.

The book is complete with 264 pages, but front title & intro pages are loose, back of cover is just hanging to binding, back cover has library card attached, it was printed on very thin delicate paper & possibly not that many published, I couldnt find another copy available at present but remember one selling for in excess of US$500 a few years ago.

A T Bryant is the Author who is well known for his major works on Zulu History, this apparently is his first work.

Postage within South Africa will be R30-00 ordinary post, courier costs can be confirmed.

Overseas buyers can contact us for a postal quote.
