1937. First Edition. The actual date of publication of this book is not known but from the preface it is assumed to be late 1937 or early 1938.
While it is not an official history of the Royal Automobile Club, it is a romantic account of the trials and difficulties through which the governing body of automobilism in Britain has passed since the inception of the club in 1897. Few motorists today realise the chaotic state into which the newly-born motor industry was so surely sinking prior to the time when Mr Ferderick R Simms laid the foundation for what to-day is the far reaching organisation known as the Royal Automobile Club.
