Royal Albert Canton Trio

On auction is one trio in the lovely Royal Albert Canton pattern. The Canton pattern was first introduced by Royal Albert in the 1940’s. This striking predominantly cream and green pattern with pink, purple and yellow flowers is not seen for sale very often!

The trio seems to be unused and new as there are absolutely no signs of use or wear at all. There is a piece of the porcelain chipped away on the foot of the cup which is likely to have occurred during the manufacturing process and specifically during the glaze firing process as it appears as if the cup may have gotten stuck to the kiln shelf due to due to excess glaze. This damage is however only visible when the cup is turned over and therefore will not detract visually or functionally from using the cup at all. All three items rings true / pings perfectly when tapped lightly with a pencil. All items have the Royal Albert Bone China England Canton back stamp in green.
