Royal Albert Trio.
This trio was produced in 1896. This was of the first Royal Albert patterns. The backstamp has the 1896 Crown stamp.the stamp is a crown with the pattern number.
The pattern number on the cup is 9081..
The pattern has oranges and black on a creamy white background.As with very old china the firing on the pieces is not as clear and clean as the modern pieces.The cup has twisted flute pattern.There is a prefiring mark on the bottom of the cup.
This trio was produced at the beginning of Royal Albert before they perfected their bone /china mixture
The trio is in exceptional for its age. There are no cracks ,chips or any signs of restoration.
The gold is still very good on the edges.
A very rare trio and a must for the collector of very old Royal Albert .A gem that shows history.
As with these very old porcelain pieces they have age related crazing the cups don't necessary ping when tapped like the more modern pieces.
