A large cake plate or server by Royal Albert in their “Kentish Rockery” pattern. It bears an unusual back stamp which reads ‘By Appointment to Her Majesty Queen Mary’ (who died in 1953). It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or grazing, but does have some rubbing to parts of the gilding (see the last photos). The plate measures about 24.5cm across (left to right) over the handles, and is about 2.2cm high.
