A stylish Royal Albert tea trio in the “Lavender Rose” pattern. This is one of Royal Albert’s most popular patterns and was produced from 1961 to 2009. Each piece features a series of sprigs of small pink roses trailing around the body against a white background. The edges are all scalloped and gilded. Given the lack of a copyright date on the back stamp, this trio is likely to be older, manufactured in England.
All three pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The gilding is intact everywhere. There is a manufacturing oddity in that the rose on the inside of the cup is a few centimetres to the right where it would normally be (see the last picture for a comparison).
Dimensions: The cup measures about 8.5 cm across (excluding the handle) and is 6.5 cm high. The diameter of the saucer is about 14 cm and its height 2 cm. The cake plate is about 15.8 cm across.
