Royal Albert Marlborough Trio
On auction is one gorgeous Royal Albert Marlborough trio in green. The Marlborough pattern was produced by Royal Albert for only 8 years between 1927 and 1935.
The trio is in very good used condition with absolutely no cracks or chips to any of the individual pieces. All pieces ring true / ping perfectly clear when tapped lightly with a pencil. There is very little wear to and rubbing of the gilding of the items.
The cup shape of the trio is the practical and timeless Doris shape. The individual items all have the Royal Albert back stamp reading Royal Albert Crown China England Marlborough 7190, with the cup having Reg No. 749633 added to the back stamp as well. The Marlborough pattern is a delightfully cheerful pattern with elaborate bouquets of flowers in pink, purple, blue yellow and red with crisp green foliage. A matching green border adorns the edges of the pieces with beautiful detailing in yellow. The pieces are finished in beautiful golden gilding on all edges to ensure a well-balanced and truly elegant trio to compliment any fine collection.
