Royal Albert "Old Country Roses" Duo

Royal Albert coffee duo in the best-selling "Old Country Roses" pattern. Both pieces are made of bone china and decorated with posies of various coloured roses with richly gilded trimmings (with a type of dusting effect which makes it appear as if the gilding is trailing down). Royal Albert marketed these duos as "demi-tasse" although the sizes are much bigger than that term would warrant -- the cup holds about 190 ml of liquid. The cup shape is called "Montrose Demi Tasse". This the last one of my "Old Country Roses" duos.

Condition: Both the cup and saucer are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The gilding is intact and the colours are bright and cheerful. There is however a factory fault in that the roses on the one side are not properly painted -- this is under the glazing, so must be a production fault, it is not traditional pattern loss -- see the close-up on the last photo.

Dimensions: The cup measures 7.3 cm across (9.5 cm including the handle) and is 6.7 cm high. The saucer is about 12.4 cm across. 

Postage: R55 insured parcel post with tracking number with SAPO, or else R100 with Postnet branch-to-branch. While I undertake to package the item very carefully, I cannot be held responsible for damage in transit.
