Royal Delft Horizontal Pheasant Applique plate #220g De Porceleyne Fles Delftware collection 1982

                                                 Being offered here is a true delightful collector's item  

An horizontal applique plate, an original piece from the Royal Delft de Porceleyne Fles Company

                                             The item is approximately 9" x 12" (23 cm x 30 cm) in size

                                       When lying down flat the depth measured on the bevelled edge is 3 cm 

                                                       The casting is thick approx 7 mm and weighs 882 g.

                                      The item mould code is #220 g      DB, current plates are now #2016 (new mould number)

                This plate was painted in the year 1982, DB is the De Porceleyne Fles BV/Royal Delft year code.  

              Only since 1985 is the article number painted on the plate itself, before that an internal code was mentioned.

              That explains the difference. It was painted by Jan Ket who worked in the factory from 1946 till 1994.     

 The plate is in an excellent collectible condition, no crazing, no chips. There are just a few very small superficial scratches  (+/- 4 spots) to the glaze which can only be seen if held up to the light vertically.
