The Doulton pottery was founded in Lambeth, London, in 1815, and moved to Burslem in The Potteries region of England in the 1880s. It was a favourite of Queen Victoria and in 1901 Edward VII sold the company the royal warrant. It has since been known as Royal Doulton, becoming one of the most renowned English companies producing tableware and collectibles.
