1930's Royal Doulton Dessert Set (7 x Pce) 

This lovely, Royal Doulton series ware, china dessert set from the 1930's, consists of one large bowl and six identical smaller bowls, all with scalloped rims. The large bowl and five of the smaller bowls, are decorated in the popular 'Dickens Ware' pattern, with one bowl being decorated in the 'Under the Greenwood Tree' pattern. The six Dickens Ware pieces consist of the following characters, Dick Swiveller, Old Peggoty, Bill Sykes, Tony Weller, Sam Weller and Barnaby Rudge. The set is in excellent condition, without any crazing, and all the pieces carry the traditional 'Royal Doulton' backstamps. The large bowl has a diameter of 24cm with a height of 7cm, the six smaller bowls have a diameter of 16,2cm with a height of 4,2cm, and together they weigh 1815g.
