Royal Doulton 'Kingsware' Flask with Silver Stopper (1905) 

This lovely, scarce, antique Royal Doulton 'Kingsware' flask from the early 1900's is quite special, as it's complete with its original, English hallmarked sterling silver stopper and chain. These flasks rarely show up for sale with their original silver stoppers. It has an unusual globular shape with a short spout and small handle and features 'John Barleycorn' with a drink in hand, on the one side, all in relief. Sadly, although not very noticeable, the short spout near the top has been restored. The silver stopper is clearly hallmarked, informing us it was made in 1905, in London by silversmiths 'George Betjemann & Sons' (G.E & SONS), and other than the restoration mentioned, it's in great condition and still has its original cork in the stopper. It stands 18cm high, with a rough diameter of 15cm at its widest and weighs 790g.
