Royal Doulton Moorish Gateway Tunis jug D4745  SPECIAL OFFER. A high gloss glazed large jug with raised relief from Royal Doulton Moorish Gateway or Tunis Series designed by Harry Allen, era 1928 to 1932. Hand painted is a scene of two figures seated beside a doorway with a window high in the wall and brilliant Middle Eastern sunshine seen through the gate. The brick wall and a cactus plant are moulded in relief around the jug. Model number D4601. Marked on the base "Royal Doulton Made in England" ink backstamp and painted "D4601" mark in green.

Measures: 11.5 cm in height.

Condition: Excellent. Age appropriate mild wear with two minor surface chips on the glaze on the rim. Free of cracks, staining, restoration and the colours are still bright. Normal crazing throughout, as expected, consistent with age.

Returns. I gladly accept returns in the unlikely event that you are not thrilled with your item. You get a full refund of the purchase price up until the end of day 7 of receiving your order. Simply return the item to me in its original condition, shown in photos. The cost of returning the item using a door-to-door courier service is buyer's responsibility. Delivery or postal charges are non-refundable.

Force Majeure. Although not a common case, over the lockdown period irregularities in delivery services can occasionally happen. In these circumstances I will appoint an alternative service provider to ensure that your parcel arrives safely on time. Any delays or irregularities in delivery that may occur would be relayed to you so that you are kept fully informed of the progress of your parcel.

Mint Condition implies that the item is brand new and has never been used, which is rarely the case with historical items. Normal wear and tear, imperfections and crazing as consistent with age should be expected and are a marker of a genuine antique/vintage item. These imperfections do not affect the value of quality items and, in fact, in many cases add to the to its historical character for seasoned collectors. Near Mint Condition or Excellent Condition or rare antiques are typically offered for a higher price. The size of a piece bears no relation to its value.

• The purchase is to be completed within 7 days. I reserve the right to cancel orders from buyers who have not completed their transaction during that period and relist the item for sale.
