Royal Doulton Series Ware 'Hundred Years Ago' Milk Jug (D5499)

This attractive hand painted series ware milk jug by Royal Doulton, from the 1930/40's is in excellent condition. The milk jug has a dark brown handle with the series/pattern 'Hundred Years Ago', featuring a couple having tea around a table with tulips in the foreground. The pattern was in production for a short period, it was introduced in 1934 and withdrawn in 1946. It stands 9cm high, with a base diameter of 7cm and handle to spout 9,7cm. The base is stamped with the Royal Doulton back stamp, along with the pattern number 'D5499'.
