Diameter: 26.5cm.
Info: The Royal Doulton D6305 "Maori Women" is a vintage decorative wall plate from the "Photographic Seriesware" collection. Produced in England between 1939 and 1975, it was the final design in Royal Doulton's series referencing Māori culture.
The design features a pmulti-coloured photographic view of four Māori women dressed in kākahu (cloaks) sitting by a riverside.
Royal Doulton's "Maori Ware" gained immense popularity in New Zealand following the 1906 International Exhibition in Christchurch. While earlier series like "Maori Art" (designed around 19061907) featured traditional kowhaiwhai patterns and hei tiki motifs, the D6305 plate belongs to a later photographic series that captured realistic scenes of Māori life.
Condition: Very Good, the pattern is in very good condition, and the outer border trim is very good, no chips or cracks on the plate.
