Royal Doulton has produced character jugs since the early 1900s. A Toby Jug - or mug - will traditionally display the entire body of a character, whereas a character jug features the head and shoulders. Based on the markings this one is from the 1960s to 1985 when they stopped production. Designed by Garry Sharpe
