Full size, silver, 2nd type, narrow fixed suspender bar, George V coinage profile. Issued to: M.35314 B. J. Beard CH.E.R.A.2 H.M.S. Diomede.
The genealogy report, about 11 pages, features this family tree and details his military service. Served in WW1, seems to have stayed on in RN, served as Chief Petty Officer Engine Room Artificer 2nd Class.
Served on board HMS Diomede, a Danae class cruiser. In 1944 he is listed as serving at Wingfield Naval Air Station (Cape Town, South Africa)
