THE FIGURINE DEPICTS A HARLEQUIN DANCER IN HAND PAINTED WHITE AND BLACK MODERNIST DESIGN WITH GORGEOUSLY SPECKLED GOLD SPRAY. THE FIGURINE STANDS IN A DANCERS POSE WITH A PAIR OF BUD VASES CRAFTED BEHIND THE FIGURE AND A LARGE BLACK MUSICAL NOTE SEPARATING THE DANCER FROM THE BUD VASES

THIS BEAUTIFUL DECORATIVE AND COLLECTABLE ITEM IS IDENTICAL TO THOSE DESIGNED BY HEDI SCHOOP. HEDI SCHOOP FLED EUROPE IN 1933 ALONG WITH HER COMPOSER HUSBAND FRIEDRICH HOLLANDER. SHE SETTLED IN CALIFORNIA AND IN 1940 OPENED A POTTERY STUDIO IN HOLLYWOOD. SHE HAD STUDIED SCULPTURE, ARCHITECTURE, PAINTING AND FASHION DESIGN AT SEVERAL EUROPEAN ART INSTITUTIONS INCLUDING AT VIENNA AND REIMANN INSTITUTE IN BERLIN. SHE DESIGNED AND MODELED EVERY PIECE IN HER LINE OF FIGURINES AND HER FIGURINES ARE THE MOST SOUGHT AFTER AS COLLECTABLES
