Some History:
The Royal Winton brand was formally known as Grimwade Brothers. This was founded by Leonard Lumsden Grimwade. It was established in 1885. This brand has always been known for the design and quality of the product. It was discontinued in the 1960's and became highly collectible on the antique market. There are reference books published for this chintz pottery. The company was purchased in 1995 and the name was reverted back to Grimwades Limited trading as Royal Winton.
