EACH OF THE FOUR PORCELAIN ITEMS IN THIS LOT/SET ARE DESIGNED IN THE POPULAR SCALLOP SHELL STYLE AND DECORATED WITH A BERRIES PATTERN WITH A SOLITARY BUTTERFLY AND LEAVES ADORNING THE HANDLE IN RAISED RELIEF. THE ITEMS ARE ALSO PROMINENTLY HIGHLIGHTED IN BRIGHT GOLD TRIM. THE PATTERN IS GENERALLY REFERRED TO AS THE EVESHAM PATTERN WHICH WAS RELEASED BY ROYAL WORCESTER DURING THE 1950's

THE WORCESTER FACTORY WAS FOUNDED IN 1751 BY A GROUP OF 15 MERCHANTS AND CRAFTSMEN. ROYAL WORCESTER MARKS ON PORCELAIN WERE FIRST USED IN 1862
