Product details
A Scarce Cased Set of Gold, Silver and Bronze medals to Commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the Inauguration of the Voortrekker Monument in 1949. Made by A.L. Sutherland and struck at the South African Mint in 1974. The reported mintage was 100 and this set was the 3rd to be produced; so this is a scarce set. - Gold Medal: 9ct Gold. Stamped on edge with the 9ct marks from the SA Mint. Also stamped with the issue number: "3". Diameter 38.2 mm. Mass 27.1 gm. Actual gold weight 0.32 troy ounces.
- Silver Medal: Sterling silver (so stamped on the edge). Diameter 38.1 mm. Mass 29.7 gm.
- Bronze Medal: 38.1 mm. Mass 24.1 gm.
