Rugby signatures. Northern Transvaal, Currie Cup final 1946. SIX original signatures

The team sheet is signed by five Northern Transvaal players who played in the 1946 Currie Cup final at Loftus. The first final at Loftus and the first time Northern Transvaal reached the final. The five players are Daan Retief, Attie Botha, Johnny Lourens, Hannes Brewis and Fiks van der Merwe. It is also signed by a sixth player, Fritz Eloff, who played for Northern Transvaal during the 1946 season, but not in the final.
