Rugby World Cup 1995 : Joel Stranksky’s Epic Winning Drop Goal Picture AUTOGRAPHED by the Springbok Team

This huge picture is professionally framed (see its size compared to a wine bottle in the last picture) and signed by the entire Springbok team (bar one player).

According to the owner, a Cape Town attorney-at-law, the whole team signed the picture, with one exception. Not all the signatures are easily deciphered, but he is of the opinion that the missing autograph is that of Chester Williams.

In one of the pictures below, the autograph of the captain Francois Pienaar is shown as well as a few sample autographs of some of his winning team members. The picture was autographed by them on their triumphant bus drive during their victory parade a few weeks after the world cup final.

The owner has received a cash offer for R37 000 for the picture (that is probably unique in terms of the teams’ signatures) but has asked me to rather have it auctioned off on BidorBuy.

Prospective buyers are more than welcome to view the picture in person in the northern suburbs of Cape Town. Please also note that there are no shipping charges as the new owner must either personally collect or ask a friend to make the pick-up. Please see the following pictures
