If you have not yet heard of Russian grass, it is an evergreen grass fit for Russian climate. It can handle any South African cold and makes great fodder for livestock as it is rich in protein (30%) and is fast growing. If not grazed, this grass will grow head height.
It is drought resistant but grows a lot faster with lots of water and in fact does well in water and swamps too.
This grass is very hard too get hold of as it is still reasonably new to SA and was smuggled info the country some time in the mid 90's by one of our intrigued farmers on a visit to Russia who couldn't get over the green grass in the snow and icy weather.
The way we sell it is we split it into clumps of 5 spriggets which we then post speed mail bare rooted so unfortunately the post will cost you R100. Only posted on Mondays
You would then plant a clump of 5 spriggets in each hole with a bit of compost mixed in. R550 = +- 200 spriggets
I know it sounds expensive but within less than 2 months you will be splitting and replanting like crazy.
This grass can also be used as an evergreen lawn in gardens and will impress the hell out of your friend year round.
We post counter to counter speed mail and you should receive the parcel the day after we post it. We will send your tracking no as soon as we manage to send it off.
