Russian KHOKHLOMA LACQUER WARE Tea Caddy - Made from LINDEN wood.

Hand Painted in the  "POD FON " Style, with crimson berries, fairytale flowers and vines on a black background.  The Tea Caddy is 160mm high and has a diameter of 130mm

The Linden Wood is shaped, Painted with a clay primer and baked, then rubbed with oil and air dried.  It is then rolled in powdered aluminium and baked.  The artwork pattern is painted and then 3 coats of hot lacquer are applied. Any of the pattern left silver by the artist will turn to a beautiful golden colour.

Postage in S.A. will be R40.00.  If you intend paying by Cash Deposit, please add another R16.50 for the Bank Charges.
