Unmarked Russian buckle and belt.

During the Cold war, Russian military equipment was being supplied throughout the world to various liberation or other destabilising forces that aligned with Moscow's agenda.

On occasion, this support was denied or hidden and some of the equipment tried to reflect that. This buckle and belt is an example of a piece of equipment from this time.

It is the classic Russian stamped steel buckle, painted in the standard OD green, but in order to downplay its origins, the embossed star and hammer and sickle was omitted.

These belts and buckles were supplied to forces in Africa, Afghanistan and South America, with examples being captured during the US incursion in Grenada as well turning up in Afgahnistan and Africa.

Please view the pics thoroughly as this is the exact item the winner will receive.
