Russo-Japanese War: 26 contemporary stereoscopic slides, each measuring 9 x 17.5 cm. Each slide contains two sepiatone photographs pasted to a concave card mount with printed captions.
These slides were not projected onto a surface. Rather, they were intended for solo use - inserted into a stereoscopic viewer (not offered for sale here), a person would be able to see each scene as though in three dimensions.
A wonderful time capsule.
Most of the slides were manufactured by the well-known firm of Underwood & Underwood, but at least two were made by the Keystone View Company.
Condition is very good. Some of the slides are a little faded.
