As the story goes.......

The Bowie Knife origin is linked to Jim Bowie of Arkansas roundabout the 1830's.

Whatever controversy may surround its origins the Bowie Style blade is a￢ﾀﾚￃﾄￃﾶ￢ﾈﾚￃﾑ￢ﾈﾚ￢ﾈﾂ wearable close quarter combat weapon￢ﾀﾚￃﾄￃﾶ￢ﾈﾚￃﾑ￢ﾈﾚ￢ﾈﾂ able to both Cut, Slash and Stab. Filling the gap between a bulky sword and a knife.
