The emblem is on black cloth fabric ........ Excellent condition (good as new).

It is the first time that such a Blazer pocket badge has been put on the market.
Maleoskop was the SAP - Counter Insurgency (COIN) Training Base. Maleoskop was situated in Mpumalanga, near Groblersdal.
All SAP members that went to Koevoet or done SWA or RSA Border Duty, first had to go through this Counter Insurgency (bush course) Training cycle.
NO MORE THAN 20 OF THESE BLAZER BADGES WERE MANUFACTURED FOR PERSONNEL MEMBERS.
A few COIN Instructors (personnel) wearing a sports jacket with the blazer pocket badge.
A typical group photo of a COIN course.
This is a photo of one of the 9 camps situated at Maleoskop. 4 groups per camp. A group was about a platoon strength. Photo below is "H" Hotel camp.
Irrespective what reason management gave for the closure of the base, Maleoskop was not liked by the new SA government, due to the type of training it presented in the old SA.
Today, nothing is left of the camp pictured below. Everything has been broken down & destroyed.
