History/Background Information: A beautiful gold 1 Pond struck in the ZAR in the year 1898. Struck to the same specifications as the British sovereign. Struck very shortly before the second Anglo-Boer War. 


Certification: PCGS MS62 (Choice Unc/MS)


Condition Notes: A choice uncirculated specimen which although somewhat common in mint state retains its collectability and demand. Hourglass lustre apparent and attractive coloration.
